Fall is all about singles competition.

Players compete individually in separate 8-Ball and 9-Ball divisions, playing both formats against their scheduled opponent each league night.

The season uses a round-robin format, with each player facing every other player once. Bye weeks may be added depending on the final number of players.

All players are responsible for their dues, scheduled matches, conduct, and knowing the current league rules and bylaws. By participating, players agree to regularly check email, text messages, and the league website for schedules, updates, rules, and other league information.

League formats, schedules, rules, and procedures may be updated as GIBCAPL grows and evolves, with changes published on the league website.

No substitutes are permitted in singles play.

Fall Mixed Masters is a handicapped singles league with separate 8-Ball and 9-Ball standings, playoffs, and champions. Players normally compete in both disciplines against the same scheduled opponent each league night.

8-Ball: Three games per match using the 17-point scoring system. All three games are played, LMS applies the Fargo-based point handicap, and the player with the highest handicap-adjusted total wins the match.

9-Ball: Fargo-handicapped Race to 5, using the league handicap chart. The lower-rated player breaks first and breaks alternate thereafter. No LMS handicap points are added because the handicap is built directly into the race length.

Official CSI / BCAPL rules apply unless otherwise noted in the GIBCAPL Bylaws or Division Handbook. Sportsmanship is required, disputes must be raised before the next shot, and formal complaints involving League Operator rulings must be submitted in writing.

Players are responsible for knowing the current rules, completing scheduled matches, paying dues, and checking league communications by text, email, and the league website for updates.

dues + fees

Players who complete 8 weeks of qualifying league play during the Fall Mixed Masters session meet the BCAPL league-play requirement for eligible Singles and Scotch Doubles competition at the BCA Pool League World Championships, subject to current CSI/BCAPL eligibility requirements.

Fall Mixed Masters does not include a travel fund or automatic trip to Las Vegas. Players are responsible for their own tournament entry fees, travel, lodging, and expenses. Division winners are encouraged to use their season winnings to help offset the cost of competing in Vegas.

Team eligibility is separate. Fall Singles participation does not qualify a player for Team competition unless that player also satisfied the applicable team-play requirements during the Spring session.

We're still growing. As GIBCAPL adds players, divisions, and participating venues, our goal is to create future opportunities to help offset Vegas entry fees, travel, and lodging for qualifying players. Any future assistance will depend on league growth and available funds and is not guaranteed.

This is a players' league, built by the players and for the players. Recruit your friends. Bring us new players. Introduce us to bars that want league pool. The bigger GIBCAPL gets, the more we can put back into prize funds, competition, and opportunities for Galveston players to compete on a national stage.
